Heil Element Mounting Kit
For Heil HC-4 or HC-5 elements
The mounting kit for the Heil® element comes with:
- acoustical mounting pads
- a sound baffle plate
- wind screen
- a pre wired element mounting plate
- Installation instruction sheet
This kit is all you will need1 to have your Heil ® HC-5 or HC-4 element mounted in an Astatic D-104 microphone head. We even include a complete, step-by-step instruction sheet in with the kit so you can't go wrong.
If you have an amplified mic, depending on the rig you use, additional re-wiring of the mic base may have to be done.
For an additional charge you can send your mic to us and we will install, re-wire the mic base for your rig and test the mic including a frequency response report that we will return to you with your microphone.
The front and rear mounting material is made from sound absorbing polyester foam with a absorption coefficient of .33 @ 2000 Hz.
The baffle is manufactured from Vibrasorb® , a filled vinyl copolymer vibration absorption material.
The charcoal colored windscreen is an acoustically transparent reticulated foam designed to cover the screen area for a clean visual appearance and to replace the old cloth cover originally found in the microphone.
Unlike some vendors, this kit is not made from leftover headphone parts and you dont have to get out your knife and try to cut up the packaging material to hold the element. All pieces are die cut to fit the D-104 microphone head.
This Mounting Kit does not include a Heil® micropone element.
